INTERNET SPEED TEST App Reviews
Thought it would be nice to have a speed test app with history but this app is highly inaccurate. I have 300 MB down that usually test between 270 - 322 depending on the day but this app keeps reporting it between 15 - 19 MB.
Its a poor and simple app, with no configuration settings. Too much slow to show the internet speed test. If you have time to get the results, go ahead.
I have an IMAC desktop computer with the latest operating system. This APP worked perfectly at first but after six tests it stopped. I have reinstalled it twice with no success. I have contacted the Internet Speed Test Support Team with no satisfaction to my problem.
total flop!.. app doesn’t exist :(
total waste of money and time :p
It said to wait while it was testing the network. The wheel did not stop spinning, and after 40 minutes, no test results were produced. Waste of time and money.
The app does what it says. It took a couple of minutes - found out my internet was slow - but I got the download and upload speeds and it logged the data in the history section. I was suspicious of my internet speed - I’m paying for a plan with a much higher speed than what I’m getting. I’m calling the cable company in the morning. Thank you for the App!
At first this App worked once, then would not work again until it was closed then restarted. For the last few days, it wouldn’t work at all, even after resetting the computer (iMac, OS 10.10.1).
I hate these kind of apps Apple should have a way to get your money back!!!!!!!! app has been running for 25 min no results I running a IMac 5k retina OS X yosemite. Ripped off
Downloaded this when I wanted to check the speeds for the wi-fi where I’m staying. Once you start it, the wheels spins for a while, seems to vary on the ping results but probably 15-20 seconds. Then it shows you the results. Seems OK, I did multiple restarts with no issue, both the app and the computer, it worked every time. There is no insight into what is going on, as in other speed test apps, it just gives you the result … hence the 4 stars and not 5.
This works sometimes, but is more likely to bring an updated Mac down. Not sure what is bugging it. Appears to have been working last time the owner updated it, but that was prior to Yosemite updates.
